This tour combines the beautiful scenery and sites of Historic Stellenbosch with excellent wine pairings and some healthy outdoor exercise.
The tour starts 9:00 at the Adventureshop office. Each rider will collect a bike and helmet to suit their size. E-Bikes also available. The guide will have space in the backpack for those who would like to buy wine en-route.
The tour starts with a historic tour of Stellenbosch, visiting some of the historic sites in town. We will cycle through Stellenbosch and head to the scenic Jonkershoek valley. A winding road through oak and poplar forests will take you to a wine estate nestled in the valley bottom, here you can take in the stunning views while doing wine tasting of award winning wines on an island in a lake.
On the way out of the valley, you will stop at another wine estate which sports beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. Here we will do a cellar tour before we start our Chocolate and Wine pairing that will make your taste buds tingle.
After the tasting we will head back into Stellenbosch Town via the Stellenbosch University before ending the tour again at our office
There are some variations to the route, with varying levels of difficulty so the tour can be tailored to suit your cycling ability. Family tours can also be booked.
NEW: Option to do the tour on an E- bike at an additional cost.
Children under 3 years are free (cycle in baby seat with parents). Children in a buggy or half bike. Children who cycle on their own, full rate. Children will do Chocolate and Ice tea tasting.

Wir haben einen wunderschonen Tag im Stellenbosch Gebiet verbrach, einfach genial. Unser Guide Marshall hat uns so viele interessantes uber das Gebiet erzahlt, es war von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute sehr spannend. Die Tour fuhrt Dich durch wunderbare Naherholungsgebiete, die Weinguter waren sehr schon gelegen und der Wein war sehr bekommlich. Wir wurden die Tour umgehend wieder buchen, Danke fur den unvergesslichen Tag. Am Schluss haben sie uns noch das Gepack zum Uber gebracht, so lieb. A terrific experience on a bike tour to two wineries, Stark-Conde and Lanzerac. Both sites are fantastic, Stark for the beautiful setting and Lanzerac for sheer quality. The tour is expertly run with a wonderful engaging guide, and the bikes are fine (I chose electric, so the choice is available). Above all, the fun is in the company you meet, and the group was welcoming and engaging (I was the only Brit in a group made up of Germans). Seriously great fun and at a very fair price - Andy

Perfect mix of cycling fun and informative guiding through beautiful Stellenbosch by very knowledgable and interesting guide.
