Sailing Yacht Knysna - 2.5hr Sunset Cruise + Finger Dinner

Knysna

Activity Description

Classic Knysna sunset, chilled glass of sparkling wine, wind in your hair and great company – There is no better way to end a beautiful day in Knysna than with our famous Sunset Cruise!

Board the legendary Outeniqua at the Knysna Waterfront for our 2.5-hour sunset cruise! Relax and enjoy as we set sail through the Knysna estuary and up to the rugged headlands which is our passage to the extensive Indian Ocean! Soak up the natural beauty of the Garden Route coastline as our crew show off their impressive sailing skills on the open water! After an exhilarating time out on the open ocean we head back to the placid waters of the estuary and switch into chill mode! On the deck, picnic style, we serve our delicious sunset spread of savoury snacks, fresh fruits, cheeses, crispy baguette, and dips which pairs perfectly with a complimentary glass of chilled South African Cap Classique MCC. Savour the moment as we cruise gently on the estuary while watch the golden sun set into the horizon.

All our trips are ocean going trips and are weather and sea conditions dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgement call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed. In the event of poor conditions, the charter can still proceed with in the estuary.

Customer Reviews

The trip was excellent. The facilities, staff, food and ambience all first class. Highly recommended, we appreciated the captains efforts to get through the Heads and were rewarded by great views and dolphins. - Claire

Excellent experience! The crew was friendly and informative and made sure we had fun. Going through the heads was on the bucket list and was very exhilarating. We even had the privilege of seeing a Brydes whale while out at sea! Thank you! - Ryan

What a trip, very exciting. Our Captain Sandy explained that we would go through the heads and out to the ocean. He and Nigel checked in with us all that we were happy with the plan. Before we got to the heads we had a safety briefing and put on our life jackets. We moved through the heads and it was really thrilling. We saw a hammer head shark, seal but no whales. We returned through the heads which Sandy and Nigel judged perfectly on a rather large wave. Back in the lagoon we were treated to a lovely sunset with fizzy and light supper snacks. We will do this trip again when we return to Knysna - John

Great Captain and crew - food really worked well. Just a little chilly in the evening out on the ocean. Wonderful evening :-) - Graham

The Cruise was beautiful and amazing, top service from a very kind team. Beautiful land and seascape , the food top. - Thomas
