Sailing Yacht Knysna - 2.5hr Sunset Cruise + Finger Dinner

Activity Description

Join us for the ultimate sailing experience whilst soaking up the golden hues of the Knysna sunset. This 2.5 hour experience departs from the Knysna waterfront and cruises through the Knysna estuary and through the rugged headlands, our beautiful passage to the extensive Indian Ocean. Let the natural beauty of Knysna entertain you, from the breath-taking coastline to the diverse marine life, as we allow our sails to steer us. Our guests are treated to an appetizing Mediterranean platter and complimentary glass of chilled South African Cap Classique MCC, while you watch the sun sink into the horizon. All our trips are ocean going trips and are weather and sea conditions dependent. Only the skipper of the vessel can make a judgement call on these conditions which are determined on the day of the charter. Conditions are influenced by tide, wind direction & speed and sea swell, therefore going out through the Knysna Heads is never guaranteed.

Customer Reviews

Wonderful sunset cruise thru the Knysna heads and back to the lagoon. Smooth sailing by the captain, and a great 1st mate in Nigel, who provided lots of interesting information about the area, the ocean, lagoon etc. - Catherine Miller

My husband and I were on a three week trip to South Africa. We went on the sunset cruise in Knysna with Sandy and his crew (sorry, can't remember his name). Both my husband and I had a wonderful time. Sandy took us right up to the entrance of the lagoon and the was an exhilarating experience but very safe. The finger foods and wine served were excellent and very well presented. All in all a very enjoyable experience. I think it's a must-do when visiting Knysna. - Ainee & Zoheir Bangaliwala

It was amazing, it is so nice to be on your beautiful sailingship and go out. Thank you - Marco and Rosalinde

We postponed our cruise on couple of times due to weather conditions as we really wanted to go out to sea through the Heads. Was well worth the wait. Thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and going through the Heads was fantastic. The crew were really a pleasure and served us all so well. Well done to all and will definitely do it again! Was so cool!! - Gerry Dirr

A wonderful & memorable sail. Kudos to the highly capable skipper - because those were buoyant waters & the crew are very attentive. Thanks to Lucy for arranging the entire process. I'll cherish the experience - Lerato Mbele & Steven Wilkinson
