Kayamandi Home Dining


Activity Description

Explore and experience the richness of the Xhosa culture, and emerge yourself in the warm hospitality offered Nocawe Piedt in the Kayamandi Township. This multi-facetted dining experience includes traditional food, dancing, drumming, story telling and much more. Arrive a visitor and leave as part of the warm family culture of this unique community.

The menu includes:
– The abundant menu contains a variety of traditional Xhosa dishes like pap, ‘chakalaka’, chicken, stew, samp, chicken feet, spinach with potatoes, pumpkin with sweet corn and much more.
– Diners are also treated to traditional beer (amagwinya) and home made ginger beer.
– Soft drinks are served

Special arrangements can be made for vegetarian options.

This experience is available to groups of minimum 6 people and a maximum of 30 people can be hosted.

Guests can bring their own wine or arrangements can be made in this regard.

The Kayamandi Home Dining expereince is hosted at 26 Masithandane Street, Kayamandi, and guests should arrange their own transport to this location.
If you prefer to be collected and returned to the centre of Stellenbosch, you can book a transfer from the Visit Stellenbosch tourism centre at 47 Church Street. Visitors are collected and taken to the venue.
